Started to look more closely at the habitats nearer to home this week. We looked at instructions for making a bug catcher and how to make a bug viewer. (We also practised compound sentences using ‘and’ as a joining word). Later in science, we made the bug catcher and viewer, but rain halted our chance to start our mini-beast hunt. We plan to do that next week, so children will need to bring their wellies into school. The class are getting good at writing commands for instructions. Perhaps children will practise some in their new creative/ story writing books that they started last week, and we can share them. We have heard some great stories from the flip flap ideas generator they made.
